The name Dilophosaurus is pronounced “dye-LO-fuh-SAWR-us”. The Dilophosaurus was part of a group of dinosaurs known as Theropods.
The only specimens of the Dilophosaurus that have been discovered so far were found in Southwest America. However, footprints suspected of belonging to the species were seen in Connecticut and Massachusetts in the 1840s.
